We noticed a non-trivial bug that was introduced in the recently released tedana v25.0.0. We just fixed the bug and released v25.0.1. If you are currently using 25.0.0, please switch to 25.0.1. v25.0.0 will be depreciated on PiPy to make it harder for users to accidentally use it.
The short version of the bug is that some time series in the PCA mixing matrix were multiplied by -1, but the corresponding PCA component weight maps were not flipped. This resulted in different, and possibly incorrect, ICA components compared to all past versions of tedana. More details about the bug and fix are in
pull request #1234.
Other positive changes include a new tedana parameter for dummy scans to remove from the beginning of a run and additional visualizations of external regressors and global signal regression fits in the tedana report.
OHBM 2025
As in past years, we are planning a multi-echo fMRI users meet-up at OHBM 2025. There might also be some multi-echo fMRI presence at the preceding Brainhack. If you are interested in joining either,
please fill out this form.
