[cc tectrix-vr]
There are a few electronic parts that would be very hard to replace; for example there is a custom control board where all the sensors and motor controls connect. Also there is a boot rom chip that is plugged into the vga card. Other than that, the computer parts are standard, but 10 years out of date so you might need to scrounge around in case you need to replace something.

Hi. I'm John. Thanks for taking the time to build that website about the VR bike. It's very informative. I'm looking to get one nearby and am concerned about it breaking down. I see that the monitor is cheap to replace. What if the computer part fried....can it be repaired or replaced so it operates the same? If not, could it be duplicated....not sure if I'm explaining it right....have a back-up computer built in case the tectrix one fries? Everything else seems fixable....mechanical stuff I can handle.: ) I appreciate your help!
