Un saluto, M.
Alex: hey
Alex: I read MJ is backing Obama..great!
Ed: hehe, hey alex.
Ed: i am trying to buy something on ebay - it won't let me ask the seller a question. do you know why?
Ed: i am glad you are supporting obama.
Alex: what's your feeling about the supertuesday?
Ed: but i am worried about his health plan.
Ed: hillary's is better.
Ed: don't know. doesn't look like anyone knows what will happen.
Ed: there are too many delegates in question.
Alex: yes..as I already told you..all your media are supporting her..
Ed: so no one can predict it.
Ed: it depends.
Ed: progressive people and young people are supporting obama. its a generational divide.
Alex: but a lot of guys are going to vote obama..and if no fakes will happen , at the election only votes count!
Ed: nytimes writers clearly are biased toward obama, even though the editorial page supports clinton... the clinton machine runs ny.
Alex: really ?
Alex: oh that's a good news
Ed: yeah. i have a friend that worked as personal assistant to wesley clark. you know what that is, right?
Alex: I've read clinton is engaging armies of pseoudobloggers to conquer the internet...very crap!
Alex: General Wesley Clark?
" Alex: you are well connected guy..;)"
Alex: but tell me, this MJ backing Obama has been adequately put into action?
Alex: I mean this could be decisive in my opinion
Ed: my friend told me that wesley clark was told that if he endorsed obama over clinton that his banking relationship with jp morgan would be jeopardized.
Ed: pretty nuts, eh?
Alex: if I were Obama I would remake nike ad together with MJ
Alex: ads
Ed: haha. i hadn't heard about mj supporting obama.. just from you.
Alex: really?
Alex: oh thats bad..meaining they did not manage to take advantage of it..
Alex: very disappointed
Alex: I was imaging MJ appearing everywhere on TV endorsing O.
Ed: well, i don't know if jordan has that much influence over politics.. these endorsement individually dont' mean too much anyway.
Ed: i mean if one candidate is massively endorsed over another then yeah, it could have meaning, but i don't think the endorsements really matter too much.
Alex: ok. for sure it would have in a EU election. Believe me.
Alex: His legend is maybe even more appreciated in Eu
Alex: and what about Jordan for president? I wll vote him..:)
Alex: actually everything seems possible in US poliics.. Reagan was an actor, Schwarnegger too..
Ed: yeah. but i don't think endorsements really count for much.
Alex: sorry for typos
" Ed: unless maybe you are supporting a candidate and they drop out, and then say ""vote for so and so"""
Ed: np
Alex: really? maybe for educated people like you..but what about masses?
Alex: crowds
Ed: hm... i guess if someone one really admires endorses a candidate, they might vote for that candidate.
Ed: i'm not sure how much effect they have really, but i don't think its much. i've read a few editorials that agreed with me also, that endorsements aren't so critical.
Alex: actually I find MJ philosophy very aligned with Obama..if only Obama could have the same instinct for victory!
Ed: haha, well lets see.
Ed: i'm not sure who i want to win anymore.
Alex: ok anyway, at least HC should be better than Bush..riht?
Ed: hillary has steadily become more progressive.
Alex: right
Ed: a year ago, she was supporting the war and making skeptical comments about the idea of improving our terrible health system.
Ed: now she is against the war and has a health plan that is actually better than obama's.
Ed: its amazing, in the pasy 8 years bush has don't nothing to improve the country. nothing.
Ed: done
Ed: he has just stopped all progress in its tracks.
Alex: I think the candidate who win is the most endorsed one by the system..but not explicetely endorsed..I mean..if centers of power like CIA, Oil Companies and so on want him to be elected, he will be..(bush era demonstarte this, right?)
Ed: eliminated climate change progress, allowed lumber companies into our parks, tried to allow oil companies into our parks, reduced the govt.'s income by about 1.5 trillion/yr., got us into a stupid war, changed a huge govt. budget surplus into a record deficit, increased military spending to about 50% of govt. spending...
Alex: now the system power centers endorse HC..thats my feeling
Ed: yeah, me too.
Alex: but tell me why people voted for him twice? did you do it also?
Ed: hillary is the big business candidate. they have given up on the republicans.
Alex: people could have avoided the second mandate for bush I mean..things you say were clear also 4 years ago, or not?
Ed: people were afraid kerry was going to withdraw from iraq and cause chaos. he said he would not do that, but the republicans convinced him that he would. kerry was a weak candidate. and he had no ideas, either. he was too scared to introduce any ideas.
Alex: errata-->weren't they
Ed: convinced the populace that kerry would withdraw, i mean.
Ed: he was the machine candidate. like hillary and mitt romney are the machine candidates of today.
Alex: ok so just coincidence you mean..now are there even 2 strong candidates from the antibush side
Ed: mccain is not a machine candidate, actually.
" Alex: nice definition ""Machine candidate"""
Alex: I would like MacCain if would like dem
Alex: he is better than bush
" Ed: the republican establishment does not like mccain, because he does not follow. he has become more conservative, more obedient recently (he now is very pro-war), but several years ago, he insulted the far right many times. he called the religious right's main leader an "agent of intolorence", and supported campaign finance reform. he is against guantanamo..."
Alex: he showed courage in life (Vietnam) and indipendent way of thinking even against his party
Ed: exactly.
Ed: but he is still pro war.
Alex: soory I made some confusion betwenn dem and
rep .
Alex: I meant
Alex: I would like MacCain if would like rep
Ed: did you know? ralph nader has started a presidential exploratory committee.
Alex: who is RN?
Ed: !
Alex: sorry cannot know all your guys..:)
Ed: he is very famous. in 2000 he ran for president with the green party, and many progressive people voted for him, removing some support for al gore. when al gore lost, many democrats blamed his defeat on ralph nader.
Alex: ok now I know him
Alex: checked on wiki
Ed: ralph nader has amazing positions.
Alex: you mean influence?
Ed: he is the only person that when he talks i feel like what he's saying expresses my feelings, too.
Alex: who is endorsing RN?
Ed: i have signed up to help him if he runs. i also gave him some money.
Ed: haha
Ed: no one.
Ed: he isn't running yet.
Alex: really? wow..so he is a vorbild for you
Ed: he just opened a probe to see if he will run.
Ed: if he gets enough money, enough volunteers, and promises from lawyers across the country to help him get on the ballet, he will run.
Ed: in 2004 he ran also for president.
Ed: the democrats sued in every state to prevent him from getting on the ballet.
Ed: they prevented him from being able to run in some states.
Ed: now he needs volunteer lawyers to help him remain on the ballet.
Ed: he is still hated.
Alex: but is he just "against the system" or has he plans and good ideas?"
Ed: read this:
Ed: http://bushclintonforever.googlepages.com/
Ed: he has a long record of fighting for consumers. he is for a universal, single payer system, like exists in every other industrialized country.
Ed: this is the proper way to run health care.
Ed: he takes the progressive stand on every issue. i don't think he could win the presidency, but what is most important is that the population be exposed to his ideas.
Alex: are Clinton and Bush dinasties totally indipendent each other?
Ed: yeah, i think so. the site i sent you is a joke.
Alex: heyEd you gave me a lot of nice stuff..I think my ital people on my newsgroup would also appreciate to read them. Can I forward to them our skypeconv?
Ed: sure.
Alex: ok guy take care..we in EU are all waiting for the supertuesday. ciao!
Ed: haha me too. see you!
