Hello Modelers!

As of April 30, there are 340 teams from 59 countries registered for
the competition!

To do your best work, we highly recommend the following:
1. Be sure the digital photos you are using are of good quality.
2. Try to remove any obstructions (cars, people, trees if possible)
from your facade photos using Photoshop.
3. Be sure to only use photos for texturing your buildings.
4. Be sure your building is located on your footprint in Google Earth
accurately.
5. Look at this building example to see what the best models look
like. Download this building into SketchUp to view it, pay attention
to how tricky terrain issues were resolved by building up the terrain
simply in SketchUp.
6. Don't forget to create your collection in the 3D Warehouse, and
include your school name and registration identification number in the
collection title.
7. It is imperative that once you have created your school collection,
you must then ask for that collection to be added to the competition
collection, so all entries are in one place.
8. Be sure to go back to your registration page where you registered
your team members and put in your 3D Warehouse collection URL (you
will have to remove the "http://" part for it to work).
9. The deadline for entries in June 1st, so we hope your models are
well under way.
10. If you have questions, please go to the Google Group for this
competition and ask it there.

Hello team members!

We've been made aware of some problems with adding your collection to the official Campus Collection. The problem has now been fixed.

To add your collection from the 3D Warehouse to the Competition Collection, go here and select the "contact the owner" link. You will then have to paste your collection URL in the "message" box and then select "send message." We will receive your request and add you to the official collection.

Thanks for your patience while we corrected the problem with this process.

Hello campus modelers!

There are only 8 days left to upload your campus building models to
the Google 3D Warehouse in order to be eligible for entry in the 2008
International Model Your Campus Competition.

There are over 400 teams who have registered, but many of you have not
yet created a collection in the 3D Warehouse, or have not asked to be
included in the Official Competition Collection. Be sure to get your
models in by Noon, PST, June 1st.

Hello Allyson,

We are team 366 of the contest, and we have a very importan question
to ask you. We received an email regarding our colletion on the 3d
warehouse. Apparently, our collection was not included on the official
competition collection and the email provide us with a link where we
can add our collection. We did all the steps and we are wondering if
we don´t have that problem anymore, because we haven´t received any
mail confirming if our collection has been added or not. We will very
much appreciate if you could confirm this information or provide us
with a way of comfirming it!!! ourt team name is "ingenautas" thank
you!!! we shall wait for your answer!!

Your collection has been added to the official competition collection,
although we don't see any actual models uploaded by you yet. :s
