Business Blackboard, Saturday mornings

This morning was the 2nd time I listened to WSPD 1370 from 8-10am for the Business Blackboard show. I had listened to it for a few minutes at a time before then, just to get a sense of what it was about. 

It does not take my full attention, so I save some things to multi-task with while listening. I plan on continue to listen (when I do not forget, sometimes Saturday mornings are kinda groggy). They stress their regional nature.

Via Twitter, I suggested they talk to Dean Braun - and this week they did. I just suggested they talk to Scott re: Pitch N Pour - hopefully they will have him on the show.

I bet we could provide a fairly steady stream of things for them, if we wanted to. More event-based interviews, like to announce Startup Weekend planning. Share whatever project The Nerd Summit chooses. Regular topics like what is happening at Seed & the Warehouse District. Maybe getting some of the people doing startups to talk about what they are doing.

What do you think? Worth it? I am not sure what their reach is, but I suspect it is the only radio show around that is focused on something close to our interests. After 2 weeks of listening, I see some potential. But you all need to listen to it a few times so we can decide as a group.

I am listening to WSPD right now. It is news for a while. Then Scott will be a guest to talk about Pitch & Pour. There are at least 2 other guests/topics, too, so not sure when Scott will be on for sure, but the rest of the show should be worth listening to.

This morning was my third time actively listening to the radio show and participating via social media (e.g., tweets to more info for each speaker, FB comments to point out connections to other things). It would be great to have a few of you be active as well, so it is not Keith/TechToledo blasting them each time. The more different voices, the better. So I hope you start listening in and contributing to the show.

Scott was great today re: Pitch N Pour. Too bad he was last and sorta ran out of time. Nice call out to Brandy and Stuart and Jessica and the others who have helped with the PnP.
