We're looking for anyone to talk about something interesting they're doing in tech! Any takers or ideas?

Thanks,
Carter

As a note to those who weren't there last Tuesday, we were thinking we'd have Philip be the speaker at the next meeting (which will be on December 5th). I believe he'll share some experiences about starting businesses and dealing with investors, two things he's developed some chops for doing. Jason may be the next presenter, which will fall sometime after newyears.

Great thanks.

Do we have a venue yet?

Correction, it's the 6th, which is the Tuesday, not the 5th. (That's actually a Monday.) My bad.

Unless someone else has a preference, I'll give The Library a call tomorrow and make sure that they can take a reservation, and allow kids, etc.

Venue-wise, my thinking was that we eventually either (A) pick a weekday (other than Tuesday when they're closed) and go back to using 8 Bytes or (B) continue to bounce the venue around until we've got a new favorite.

If we pick option B, the places I've got in my head are fairly geographically obvious (since I don't want stuff to be too far towards either extreme end of town) but for the record:

·         Grand Av Pizza

·         Mr. Jim's

·         Anong's

·         Lovejoy's

·         Sweet Melissa's

·         Prairie Rose

·         Thai Spice

·         McAlister's (UW Plaza)

·         Bernie's (on Clark street)

·         O'Dwyers

There's also a hybrid option discussed a little last time (at meeting #6) where presentations would fall on Tuesday and the casual gettogethers would be a different day and always occur at 8 Bytes.

Yes, let’s see if the library can accommodate us.

8 bytes was far preferable as a venue. Quiet so we can hear each other, no huge pressure to order food etc… ill get over it if we have to go back to another night
