| No updates on the Mobile and funding yet. Tushar says it'll be a couple of weeks. The ToM body is almost made except for putting the motor on the Z. The extruder drive and hot end are made, but not mated together. No work at all on the electronics. Tushar wants to get together and have another build session or two, to get this ToM (and hopefully another one) made. I believe the plan is to be able to borrow one from NCSU for the Mobile's Triumphant Return this summer. I'd be willing to attend the sessions wherever. the Splat is available but in durham. Is the Centennial campus more central for all those interested? I would really like for these build session(s) to be events for not only these ToMs but also for Otto and Mike and Drew to get their cupcakes put together (if they want and are available) and for me to put a stepper extruder and a lowrider on mine. I should have my stepper extruder soon (taps foot.) If we can't get any other printer for the summer I'd be willing to have my cupcake in the Mobile but I want it to be more reliable. | We could do a build of our own any time, but if you want to get the NCSU machines, I believe that Tushar wanted to wait a couple of weeks. Like me, he backed up a lot of personal stuff during the Mobile's visit and has to clear it out before returning to the Fab. Let me know what you think. This Thurs. I'd like to meet with Drew and do some screenprinting/planning. JC --- On Mon, 3/28/11, Mike Broome <mbr...@employees.org> wrote: |
