Anyone see this?

iPhone app that creates a 3D model off of a camera phone snapshot.  Apparently it has the ability to spit out an STL directly.

I saw this thing a while ago but it was only "going to have" STL export. I'll have to mess around
with it and see if it is useful. I'm guessing some 3d prints of my niece and nephew's faces are
in the near future.

Hey Bill, my extruder arrived in the mail. I haven't had time to assemble it yet.

Stepper extruder is quite nice. You will be shocked I think. Need any
help give me a shout.

I'm currently trying to learn PLA. Got a crystal skull that
came out nice. Very different than ABS tho.
Now my shop smells like I'm cooking waffles out here.

I got a broken tricolor LED yard ornament to stick in there! In the skull, I mean.

The ornament is busted, but the color-shifting electronics and LED work fine.

Trimensional:
Fun for a laugh, not really useful for scanning objects. It's
becomes essentially a digital "pin art" toy. Some pretty
hilarious models/prints out of it. It costs $.99 for the prog
then $4.99 for the "full 3d" upgrade to email the STLs out.

Jeff: Very nice. How big was the original ornament? A
color changing skull yard ornament would me very cool.

It was a dragonfly or butterfly or some yard arty thing like that. Maybe it was a glowing gnome, I dunno. It was a gift from Crazy Sister In Law #2.

Anyway, the support rod broke while assembling it, so I have the solar panel/single tricolor LED/busted bits to play with. I'll see if I can find it.

GLOWING SKULL GEARSHIFT KNOB!!!
