Anyone want to get together this WE for 3d printing fun and hilarity? I've got my new baby up and running pretty well. It'd be nice to talk to people with a bit of reprap experiences. (Good bad or ugly)The Makerbot only slightly prepared me for the "interesting" nature of 5D printing.

How is everyone doing with their bots?
Makerbot Roll Call! Sound off!

:-)

Sounds like someone wants to show off his Ultimaker!

I'm up for it. I will be shaking down Baby Blue's ABP, although probably just in HBP mode.

Hey, anyone out there use pstoedit yet?

Actually I do like the design a lot. The ACME's in my makerbot could be used
to make 4 more UM. :-)
There are things to not like of course.

You using it command line or through gsview? Are you still trying to get usable DXFs out of Inkscape?
I had a couple of actual PS files that gave me trouble in Corel so I used pstoedit command line to convert
them.

That should be a good one. GA Tech is always a good draw for Makers.
Are you showing or just there to see?

Would repraps be welcome?  I dont want to try to move the Mondo, but we got a couple of prusas-in-progress that are going nicely (well as nicely as could be expected).

When/Where?

I'll say! I'd love to see where you are and talk about software/firmwares.
How far along are your Prusas? Extruding yet?

I'm good with the Splat unless there is a better location. My workshop's in
Garner so everything is a 30 min drive for me.

After 12 on Saturday or Sunday is fine with me.

Sunday is best for us,  should be able to bring a half finished prusa. We are flying Saturday.

Looks like there's momentum for getting together on Sunday, but I wanted
to throw my 2 cents in that can't make it on Sunday but am free on
Saturday. I'd love to see some other 'bot designs, but it's no biggee
if y'all get together without me, though.

Jeff, did you ever get a chance to try out my EC board? Is it still
over at Splat? Now that I'm back from a couple weeks away, it's time to
get my Cupcake working again.

I have to throw my hat in for Sunday as well. It turns out I have to be in Raleigh for an extended-family thing at 5:00 on Saturday.

I'd love to see the Ultimaker.  Let me know when you guys are getting together.

BTW:  The video on this site is just unreal (IMHO) http://www.protomold.com/

Saw the link from Dangerous Prototypes....

The Protomold folks sent me a little cube puzzle a year or so ago, where each piece is a different one of their available plastics. Kinda a cool idea as a marketing give-away.
