January Arduino meet @TechShop Saturday Jan 16 6pm-7pm

Happy New Year everyone!

I've reserved a room for a meetup at the Menlo Park TechShop on Jan
16, from 6-7pm, hope to see everyone there! Come see what others are
doing, find out about new Arduino things, and I'd like to encourage
everyone to bring something to work on and/or show off, even a work in
progress.

Also for those interested, TechShop has Arduino classes on Jan 16
before and after the meetup that you can still sign up for. Check the
TechShop website for more details and to sign-up. Note that you can
sign up for these classes even if you're not a TechShop member.

Is anyone else getting spam from strange people ostensibly from a member of
this group?

Yes, it's a nuisance (and likely the links provided are a source of
malware.) I've been reporting them as spam, and I've also changed the
join policy to require approval; this should stop the drive-by
spamming. (They join, spam, and unjoin the group before one could
even get a chance to block them.)
