Hi All,

I started working for GOT in April 08. Taking calls, and working them
so well I was often called back to the same companies for return
visits to address additional issues.

I have completed quite a few calls and had received tech statements,
but no checks at all. I emailed the tech statements email provided
often, but received no response whatsoever.

I've been emailing and talking on the phone with one of the GOT VP's.
He has at aleast been responding to me, but did tell me during one
phone call I would be paid "next week" when that day came and gone
with no check, I called him again only to be told that there is an
issue with the GOT funding.

As I understand it, GOT has investors that supposedly front them the
cash to cover Tech payments and other expenses while they await
payment from clients. He told me the current investors pulled out
unexpectedly, and additional funding was in process of being put in
place. He told me a couple of weeks ago that this would take a week or
two tops to come together.

I have emailed him this past week to check for a status seeing as it's
been about 2 weeks since our phone conversation, but have not heard
back. I plan to call him this coming week to talk with him for an
update.

I still have Service Manager's from GOT contacting me for calls, to
which my reply is - once my 1st check arrives that is now over 4
months late, I will consider taking additional calls.

I think it's important to note even though I am extremely frustrated
by all this, I have remained professional, and have not lost my temper
with the people I am communicating with. As with many others, I fully
expect to be ignored at some point, but as long as there is
communication, I'm sticking with it.

I have considered a small claims, or contacting an attorney. I intend
to continue to push for this money that is owed to me, and will not
give up.

It just really stinks that I put my other work on hold, and even took
a full day off my full time job to take an 8 hour assignment for GOT
as they were in a bind only to be refused the pay owed to me.

This was really an excellent second job, and if they had only paid
many of the great Tech's they had, it could have been lucritive for
all of us.

If anyone knows of another similar option for additional work, that
actuallys pays, please post. I would love to continue to do this same
type of work in the future.

I just wish they would have been up front about the pay issue; I went
through the exact same thing with "We'll pay you next week" but the
money never got to me, and they won't take my calls or emails anymore.
I think that is part of what makes this so bad. If I had been told on
the front end that there were some issues, and payment might be late,
but that I could expect it by a specific date (and then it actually
got here!) I would look at this situation a little differently.
