Digital Initiatives Metadata Librarian, Washington University in St. Louis (Saint Louis, Missouri)

 

Washington University Libraries (https://library.wustl.edu/) invites applications for the position of Digital Initiatives Metadata Librarian. Reporting to the Associate University Librarian for Collection Management and Access Services, the Digital Initiatives Metadata Librarian will be responsible for providing expertise and leadership in development, implementation, and assessment of metadata systems, policies, and procedures to support discovery, access, management, and preservation of general and special collections, digital collections and digital repository holdings in the University Libraries. The Libraries are undergoing many exciting changes. The Libraries has launched its new strategic plan, which includes a re-envisioning of the Digital Library, a migration of its open access scholarly repository, and full website redesign. The Digital Initiatives Metadata Librarian will have the unique opportunity to be the nexus of these exciting initiatives.
