[CDC] Hackathon: Mercari

Dear Students,
Mercari is an e-commerce company based in Tokyo, Japan. They would like to understand the potential of IIT students and hence hosting Hackathon for students from all over India.
Hackathon event will be conducted in Mumbai at some prime hotel for the selected participants.
Participants will be selected based on their merits proved by them in the online test. Online test will be conducted by Mercari during the last week of August.
Winners will have a chance to visit Japan and get some handsome price money.
The firm may consider the candidates for their placement process and full time posting in Japan. Any student irrespective of year of study can apply.
Important Dates!
Application deadline: 8/20 (Sunday)
Programming pre-contest: 8/21 week
Hackathon:10/6(Fri) – 10/8(Sun) in Mumbai
Japan Tour: 10/27(Fri) – 30(Mon)
Prizes
- 1st Prize 1.5 Lakh INR
- 2nd Prize 75,000 INR
- 3rd Prize 50,000 INR
- Invitation to the “Premium Japan Tour” for top 10 members.
Steps
1. Register with your placement office. ( Please provide final list of participants in attached format )
2. Take the pre-competition online test, *details to be sent to registrants
3. Selected contestants will be invited to the Hackathon in Mumbai *All expenses covered!
4. Top winners/teams will receive the prizes and be invited to the “Premium Japan Tour” *All expenses covered!

- Those who have passion for coding and programming
