Hey everyone,

Just quickly, a couple of things happening -

1. The technoLanguages Live session on Monday night is 'Thinking Critically About iPads in the Languages Classroom' and will be a discussion with Penny Coutas from Murdoch Uni (and myself and anyone who comes along!) about how to get the best out of an iPad. Please feel free to ask plenty of questions and have plenty of suggestions. We don't pretend to know all the answers, we just think it's a good topic to put out there for discussion. The link for the event information is here: http://technolanguages.wikispaces.com/technoLanguages+LIVE

2. Wanna share your lunch box with the world in 2011? I'm thinking of running the Lunch Box Project again. It was a project I ran in 2008 with my Grade 2 and 3 classes where we connected with a class in Turkey and in China and the kids shared pictures of what they ate for lunch. I'm interested in taking it a bit further now and seeing who else would like to be involved. The project could have many aspects to it - there could be conversations on different religious and cultural sensitivities for example. Expressions of interest are welcome from anyone teaching any language at any year level. I'll just see who is interested first and then see what happens from there. If you want to have a look at the previous project you can go to http://lunchboxproject.wikispaces.com to get an idea. Feel free to ask for more info.

Hope everyone is doing well - the end is in sight :-)

Jess.

Hey Jess,

Hope to join in on Monday... Wanted to ask, that image with all words on it in top left corner of your wiki, how do you make them?

Hey Matthew,

That image was made with Wordle: http://www.wordle.net - it's a bit of fun :-)

'See' you on Monday if you pop in!

Hi Jess

I spoke to my principal and ICT coordinator about the “lunchbox project” for next year.

They both and I are keen to try it out, especially we do it in LOTE.

Is it OK for us to participate?

If so, we would like to know how to start going about it?

Thanks J

Kind regards
