Hello!
You are receiving this email because you are still on the technoLanguages Google Group. If you don't want to be anymore, then you can go here to take yourself off: http://groups.google.com/group/technolanguages or just let me know and I'll take you off.
After what was a very big year for me last year which included moving house, new job, new subjects and having a baby, I have finally got myself a bit more back on track and thought I'd start putting some technoLanguages stuff out there again. So....
WELCOME TO THE technoLANGUAGES SPECTACULAR! A fairly short weekly or fortnightly (whichever I get around to) email 'newsletter' with a few bits of ICT related information that you might find useful.
1. If you'd like to work through some step by step tutorials on how to set up and play with a Wikispaces wiki, then check out these ones that I made up for some workshops I gave last year:
**Getting Started on Wikispaces (http://www.slideshare.net/technolote/getting-started-on-wikispaces)
**Embedding, Inserting & Linking on Wikispaces (http://www.slideshare.net/technolote/embedding-inserting-and-linking-on-wikispaces)
**More Wikispaces Features - The Tabs (http://www.slideshare.net/technolote/more-wikispaces-features-the-tabs)
2. Websites to try:
**Language Perfect - http://www.languageperfect.co.nz <http://www.languageperfect.co.nz/> - a very motivating and competitive vocab learning tool
**Cool Tools for Schools - http://cooltoolsforschools.wikispaces.com <http://cooltoolsforschools.wikispaces.com/> ) - an EXCELLENT collection of Web 2.0 tools useful for the classroom divided in to very useful categories, eg: writing tools, drawing tools, music tools etc.
3. LOTE Leadership course in Melbourne: http://services.ais.vic.edu.au/ebiz/meetings/meetingdetail.aspx?ID=789
4. A good blog to check out: Box of Tricks - Technology and Education http://www.boxoftricks.net/
PLEASE NOTE:
The email address for this group is now technol...@googlegroups.com. If you send an email to this address EVERYONE on the list will get it. Feel free to start a discussion or share a website, but please don't send emails to this address that are just for one person. If you want to reply just to me then my address is jlmc...@gmail.com
I hope this email finds you all well and getting settled back in to the swing of the school year. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help technology wise!
Jess.
