Hi
This thread is to discuss the Waterfall in the psychedelic room.
Basically we will be making a 8- or 16- band music visualizer using fans, thermocol and LEDs.

The structure will be a rectangular hard cardboard or plywood frame (we need to decide this soon), divided into 8/16 long sections, separated again by wood or cardboard.  On the bottom will be one motor for each channel with a propeller.  The speed of the motors will be varied according to the music.  Above the fans we intent to put a wire mesh and on top of the mesh we will fill thermocol balls.  Basically the thermocol will fly according to the music, and a set of LEDs dedicated to each channel will light up the channels according to the music.

We need people working on the structure part of the waterfall as well as circuit assembly.  Reply to this thread if you have any questions.

I thought we could use plastic bottles for the channels. Easier to make it with them and they are already transparent so no messing around with the transparent sheet like last time.

But that would be extremely small right?? Last time it was quite big.  Is it possible to use long plastic tubes of some sort?

Yea i guess we could do that as well.  We have to make it super sturdy though.
