general concern regarding joining Technion

Dear group members,

I am Akshara from IIT Madras, Chennai, India. I am in the final year of my Ph.D. and expect to graduate in March 2025. Recently, one professor from the materials science and engineering department at Technion got interested in hiring me as a postdoctoral fellow in his group. Before making a decision and writing back to him, I have a few general concerns regarding the new place in terms of safety, work culture, living cost, etc. I seek guidance and suggestions from members of this group who have experience with the institute and life in Israel. I would greatly appreciate it if you could share tips or advice regarding this.
