Mr. Amrit Karmarkar is pharmaceutical and clinical researcher with 17 research and review articles published in international journals. He is editor in chief of Journal of Clinical Research and healthcare management. He is editorial board member of Drug Discoveries and therapeutics, Journal of AIDS and HIV Research, International journal of biomedical research, and International Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences Review and Research. He is reviewer of around 10 different international journals. He is Lead Faculty in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Web Med Central, UK. He has delivered 3 international talks in different conferences and presented several papers at different conferences. Apart from that, he is Scientific and business head of International Cooperation Association for Research and development (ICARD).
Learning Objectives »
- Overview of good scientific article writing and good publication practice
- Understanding difference between article types including research article, original article, review, systematic review, brief report, editorial, case reports, and letter to editor etc
- Participants will get insight of publishing articles in journals; standards of scientific article; literature search and sources of information; discrimination between bibliography and references
- Workshop will enable participants on how to begin with research, research methodologies; research proposal making; compilation of data and actual writing the data.
- Plagiarism issues and policies of journals related to it; how to identify plagiarism; plagiarism detection tools, etc.
- Writing sections of research paper in AIMRaD and AIRDaM formats
- Referencing and more insight into AMA, MLA, Vancouver and Harvard style of referencing
- Formatting articles – Use of proper fonts, spacing, margins, positioning of tables and figures
- Participants will learn how to present supplementary data, constructing scientific figures, tables, making the graphs, drafting and polishing, presentation of numerical data
- Use of software tools for article writing
- Participants will also know the selection of journals; assessment of quality of journals (issues related to impact factor, and different indexing databases, etc)

Assessing authors impact on the scientific community (different indexes or rankings)
- Manuscript submissions, responding to reviewers and editors, reviewers view analyzing your manuscript
- Writing clinical study reports with focus on ICH E3 guidelines
