Hi all .. I am trying to break into this field but am not familiar
with the software tools I need to learn. Are snagit quickstyles,
robohelp and framemaker good choices? Also what is least expensive
way to get this software? Thanks for your help.

Hi Kevin,

I highly reccomend learning FrameMaker as it's a good standby (and a
lot of companies still use it). I'd also reccomending learning about
DITA and the various ways companies use it for documentation. It
would seem many companies are making the transition to DITA and will
be needing people that know how break down the documentation into the
new format.
