However, if it is just a listing of all lines in sorted order, then using Anunadji's CSV kramaka it will be faster to create a similar online version using unicode ramacharitamanas.

See attached, sorted 'Sundarakanda' - just as a simple sample - no distinction is made for doha, soratha, chaupai, chhanda etc .

It should be easy for Tech gurus in the group to convert the unicode text files to add the numbering to each line and then sort based on text column, and keep number column for reference. Similar to what's been done for Mahabharata here ..

मुझे भी लगता है कि प्रत्येक पंक्ति को कोई संख्या देना और तत्पश्चात उस टेक्स्ट को शाटित करना आसान काम है।

किन्तु कविता (चौपाई, दोहा, सोरठा आदि) आदि को शाटित करने से प्राप्त टेक्स्ट किस तरह से बिना शाटित टेक्स्ट की अपेक्षा अधिक उपयोगी होगा, यह मैं नहीं समझ पा रहा हूँ। क्या कोई इसका एक बढ़िया उपयोग बता सकता है?

I can think of two uses:

1. for people who are doing research (PhD/शोधकार्य) on Ram Charit Manas - but the Gita Press edition, though popular is not considered autoritative

2. for people who want to read the Manas quote in context to look up where it comes in the book - see http://hindini.com/fursatiya/archives/442 where it is explained further

Re. #2: Sorting is not required for this purpose. Text can be searched
using Ctrl-F in all modern web browsers, text editors, word processors
and PDF readers.

For the example in the blog, I opened the Bālkāṇḍ page
http://ramayan.wordpress.com/2006/07/24/balkand/

Then I pressed Ctrl and F together. A text box came up. In that box, I
typed मंगल भवन. The first match on the page got highlighted: मंगल भवन अमंगल
हारी। उमा सहित जेहि जपत पुरारी।।

To get the next match, I pressed enter. The next match got highlighted:
मंगल भवन अमंगल हारी। द्रवउ सो दसरथ अजिर बिहारी।।

I pressed enter again. There were no more matches in Bālkāṇḍ, so the
first match got highlighted again.

This way, one can look up text using Ctrl-F without needing a sorted list.

(This process would be easier if all 7 kāṇḍs were in a single text file.
But such a text file can be created easily using copy-paste.)
