नमस्कार
भोजपुरी कोश पर आपकी प्रतिक्रिया पढ़ कर बड़ा अच्छा लगा।
हम आपके समर्थन के बहुत आभारी हैं।
भोजपुरी लोक शब्दकोश के संबंध में आपके विचारों के विषय में मैं निम्नलिखित बातें रखना चाहूंगा-
१)  भोजपुरी कोशों में क्रिया के past participle रुप को हेडवर्ड बनाने की परंपरा है। ठीक वैसे ही जैसे हिंदी में क्रिया का संज्ञार्थक रुप (करना, खाना) दिया जाता है लेकिन पाठक उन्हें क्रिया ही समझता है। उसी तरह संस्कृत और अंग्रेजी में Root form देने का प्रचलन है। अत: भोजपुरी कोश में सभी क्रियाएं past participle रुप में ही दी गई हैं लेकिन अर्थ को हिंदी वाले रूप में दिया गया है।
२) हारवर्ड-क्योटो प्रोटोकॉल रोमन लिप्यंतरण की प्रसिद्ध पद्धति है। इसका उच्चारण से कोई मतलब नहीं होता है। इस रोमन को उन पाठकों को ध्यान में रखकर दिया गया है जिन्हें देवनागरी नहीं आती जैसे भोजपुरी मूल के अप्रवासी भारतीय। इसे देखें

असल में मैं शब्दों के साथ आई.पी.ए देना चाहता था पर भाषावैज्ञानिक समझ वाले कर्मियों को पाना बहुत ही दुष्कर जान पड़ा। और तो और फोनेटिक ट्रांस्क्रिप्शन के लिए डाटा लेते वक्त ही सही आई.पी.ए लिखने की आवश्यकता होती है। जो हमारे डाटा संकलन कर्ताओं के लिए संभव नहीं था।
आप देखेंगे कि रोमनीकरण में भी गलतियां हुई हैं जिन्हे हम ऑनलाईन वर्जन में सुधारने का प्रयास कर रहे हैं।
३) भोजपुरी भाषा के मानकीकरण के लिए हमेशा से प्रयास होते रहें हैं।इसी कड़ी में S वाले उच्चारणों का भी मामला है। यह तो स्पष्ट है कि कोई भी लिपि शायद ही पूर्णत: वैज्ञानिक है। अब हिंदी की देवनागरी को ही लें....लिखते हैं ’ शहर’ पर बोलते हैं शैहर....लिखते है ’राम’ पर बोलते हैं ’राम्’
हिंदी की इसी स्थिति को समझते हुए भोजपुरी संसद द्वारा प्रकाशित भोजपुरी शब्द्कोश (संपादक -विद्यानिवास मिश्र) में भी  में S उच्चारण का इस्तेमाल नहीं किया गया और यही परंपरा भोजपुरी लोक शब्दकोश में भी निभाई गई है। सही उच्चारण के लिए IPA (2005) का उपयोग करने का प्रयास हम भोजपुरी लोक शब्दकोश के ऑनलाईन वर्जन में कर रहे हैं। देखें http://www.langsci.ucl.ac.uk/ipa/ipachart.html
३) मगही अति मधुर और एक बहुत बड़े समुदाय द्वारा बोली जाने वाली भाषा है। परियोजना के प्रथम चरण में तो हम मगही को स्थान नहीं दे पाए परन्तु अगली कड़ी में मगही अवश्य शामिल होगी। आपसे अनुरोध है कि विद्वानों और किताबों की सूची मुझे पुन: प्रेषित करने की कृपा करें। आपका सहयोग परियोजना को गति और उर्जा देगा।

(१) क्रिया के अन्त में "-ल" प्रत्यय लगाने पर भूत कृदन्त अर्थात् past participle रूप बनता है । उदाहरणस्वरूप "कइल" का अर्थ है - "किया (हुआ)" । "आज ई काम जरूर कइल जाई" का अर्थ है - "आज यह काम जरूर किया जायगा" । मगही में भी यही बात है । जैसे - "ऊ कइल-करावल पे पानी फेर देलकइ" का अर्थ है -"उसने किये-कराये पर पानी फेर दिया" । कोश में "करना" अर्थ दिया गया है जो गलत है । इसी प्रकार "औगारल", "कँखवटल" आदि शब्दों में । प्रतीत होता है कि कोश के प्रूफ की जाँच किसी भोजपुरी विद्वान से नहीं करवाई गई ।

(२) हर्वर्ड-क्योतो लिप्यन्तरण मेरे मत में व्यर्थ है । देवनागरी लिपि के पूर्णतः वैज्ञानिक होने से उच्चारण में समस्या नहीं होनी चाहिए । हाँ, हिन्दी/मराठी एवं हिन्दी की बोलियों के लिए प्रयुक्त केवल अकारान्त व्यञ्जनों के मामले में कुछ समस्या खड़ी होती है । हिन्दी/ मराठी में साधारणतः शब्द के अन्तिम असंयुक्त अकारान्त व्यञ्जन का स्वर-रहित उच्चारण होता है । परन्तु हिन्दी की बोलियों में समस्या खड़ी हो जाती है । उदाहरण के लिए मगही में "चल" शब्द में ल का उच्चारण ल् भी होता है और ल (स्वर-सहित) भी, परन्तु अर्थ में अन्तर होता है । अतः लिखित रूप में भी अन्तर करना आवश्यक हो जाता है । मगही में अ-सहित उच्चारण होने पर व्यञ्जन के आगे "ऽ" चिह्न लगा देते हैं । अतः "चल" (सामान्य अर्थ में, अपने से छोटे लोगों के लिए प्रयुक्त), परन्तु "चलऽ" (आदरार्थ, अपने से बड़ों के लिए) । 
"कँखवटल" जैसे शब्द के ठीक-ठीक उच्चारण के लिए यह स्पष्ट करना चाहिए कि इसे कैसे लिखा जाय - "कँखऽवटल" या "कँखवऽटल" ? उच्चारण देवनागरी में ही दिया जाना चाहिए ।

    I have had a look at the attached files of the Bhojpuri dictionary. My suggestions are given at the end of this message.

 

    I had some correspondence with Dr Arvind Kumar regarding the project. I had provided  the publication details of a published Magahi dictionary and a list of scholars of Magahi along with complete postal address and contact numbers. But I didn't get satisfactory reply. I would like to get an idea when the Dictionary work for Magahi will start.

 

   My Suggestions for the Dictionary Project:

   The complete reference for the usage of a particular word should be supplied in the dictionary. For example, I have uploaded a list of Magahi words with complete reference for some Magahi books. Please visit my blog:

To keep the size of the dictionary easily manageable, reference for a particular meaning of a word may be supplied from some of oldest literature. This will facilitate in the future edition of the dictionary based completely on historical principles (e.g. the "Kannada Nighantu", published in 8 vols, containing about 9000 pp.). Such an edition of even a Hindi dictionary is a desideratum.

Yes, you are right. In fact, it seems that only 2 parts were published so all vowels won't be covered. The pdf didn't have part 2. You may want to look at the last page of online version or tiffs to see it is there.
