I am pleased to announce the new version of PramukhIME suites of software used for typing in 23 Indian languages in your computer and mobile device. PramukhIME Javascript Library, PramukhIME Wordpress Plugin and PramukhIME TinyMCE Plugin is available for download on my website. You can quickly test out these functionality using Pramukh Type Pad . I have spent more than 12 years and 3,500 hours to create these free typing utilities. Following changes are included in this release.
· Kashmiri, Meitei (Meetei Mayek), Ol Chiki (Santali), Marathi (Modi script) and Sora languages added
· Existing Manipuri language is renamed as "Bishnupriya Manipuri"
· Advanced typing rules for each language are implemented as follows
Language | Advanced Rule |
Assamese | “n” is transliterated to "NG" depending on the position in the word |
Bodo | ng is transliterated to Anusvar depending on the position in the word |
Bengali | “n” and "y" is transliterated to the "NG", "y"/"z" depending on the position in the word |
Bishnupriya Manipuri, Gujarati, Maithili | “n” is transliterated to Anusvar depending on the position in the word |
Hindi, Kashmiri | “n” and "m" depending on the position in the word can be transliterated to Anusvar or Panchamakshar depending on your preferred settings. |
Kannada | “n” and "m" depending on the position in the word can be transliterated to Anusvar or Panchamakshar depending on your preferred settings. |
Konkani, Marathi and Marathi (Modi) | “n” is translitered to Anusvar depending on the position in the word |
Malayalam | “n”, "N", "r", "l", "L" at the end of the word is transliterated to Chillakshar |
Meitei | “k”, "l", "m", "p", "n", "t" and "ng" at the end of the word is transliterated to Lonsum |
Nepali | “n” and "m" is transliterated to Anusvar or Panchamakshar depending on the position in the word |
Punjabi | “n” if followed by Kanna, Bihari, Lanv, Dulavan, Horha or Kanaorha is transliterated to Bindi |
Sanskrit | “n” is translitered to Panchamakshar depending on the position in the word |
Tamil | “n” is transliterated to "n", "N", "NN" or "NY" depending on the position in the word |
Telugu | “n” and "m" is transliterated to Anusvar depending on the position in the word. |
