Patanjali's Vyakarana Mahabhasya

Dear Friends,

 

I have just joined the group and I am thankful to have an opportunity to see you all working with so much love and dedication on Hindi related matters.

 

I needed the suggestion / recommendation on some reference book on Patanjali's Vyakarana Mahabhasya. Please suggest a good, minimum error version of this work with original Sanskrit content in place and the book known to be in-print / circulation. I have with me a work by Charudeva Shastree. I need a detailed reference book, if possible, with Hindi or English translation, on this work.

Rajeev jee,

    To my knowledge complete Hindi / English translation of Patanjali's Vyakarana Mahabhasya is not available. But Marathi translation is available (only in library).

 

    The best Hindi translation of the first two chapters is the one by Pt Yudhisthir Mimamsak, and published by Ram Lal Kapoor Trust. This translation is available (in 4 Parts). The Hindi translation (by Dr Pradyumna) of the third chapter is to appear in the near future. It was supposed to be out in December last. But somehow it didn't.

 

    The best edition of Vyakarana Mahabhasya is the one edited by Dr F. Kielhorn and published by BORI, Pune. It's easily available (in 3 Vols).

उपलब्ध है। मैने इसका देवनागरीकरण कर लिया है और शीघ्र इसे अन्तरजाल पर

अन्तरजाल पर उसे उपलब्ध कराने में सहयोग करें।
