Dear Members,
I have several tables in Excel sheets which are to be converted to MS Word format for publication in a book.
All tables I converted successfully by first saving the Excel file as pdf and then saving this pdf file as MS Word, except Table2 which gets distorted during saving the pdf file as MS Word. The automatic change from Arial Unicode MS to Mangal font is not a problem. I can just copy the text from Excel and paste it into MS Word. But in the case of Table2 there is some problem, where the table gets divided vertically into two parts and I am unable to copy/paste any row that I am able to do in several other tables.
       Can anybody suggest a solution?
The screenshots of Table2 for Excel, pdf and MS Word are attached here.
        Regards

Dear Narayan ji,

I suggest trying Google Docs and Google Sheets for these types of technical issues. I have often found that moving files through those platforms/apps helps resolve formatting problems.

Have you had a chance to try that approach for the Table 2 issue?

Regards,

Vivek Raj

No, I have not. BTW, how to convert MS Excel  sheet to Google sheet?
Can Google sheet be directly saved as Google Doc?
How to convert Google Doc back to MS Word?
    Regards

Dear Narayan ji,

I am glad you worked your way through it.

In my experience, Google products are often undervalued. I believe Google Docs and Sheets are as superior to MS Word and Excel as Google Search is to Bing, or Gmail is to Hotmail. While fully utilizing these tools requires a slight learning curve and a different mindset, they are very effective.

Thanks you!
