Role: Observability Eng/Developer

Location : McLean, VA (Onsite)

Skills: Dynatrace (Must have)

Exp: Observability/Monitoring with Dynatrace

 

Observability Engineer (Dynatrace) JD

 

Role Overview

 

• Responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining Dynatrace to ensure operational visibility and reliability.

 

• 5+ years in Observability/Monitoring with Dynatrace

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Install, configure, and maintain Dynatrace agents

 

• Implement custom monitoring scripts and templates.

 

• Troubleshoot monitoring issues and maintain system reliability.

 

• Automate monitoring processes and workflows.

 

• Support infrastructure and application teams in optimizing observability configurations.

 

 

 

Required Skills

 

• Hands-on experience with deploying and configuring Dynatrace (One Agent, Synthetic Monitoring).

 

• Expertise in infrastructure monitoring (servers, databases, networks).

 

• Familiarity with DevOps pipelines (CI/CD) and observability tool integration.

 

• Strong skills in automation (Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools).

 

• Solid understanding of Linux/Windows systems and networking basics.

 

 

 

Certifications to Consider (Good to have)

 

• Dynatrace Certified Associate (Dynatrace University).

 

• AWS/Azure/GCP Monitoring Specializations.

 

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) for container monitoring.

 

• ITIL Foundation Certification for process understanding.

 

 

 

Soft Skills

 

• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging abilities.

 

• Team collaboration and adaptability.

 

• Strong documentation skills for monitoring processes.
