Dear all,

It gives me a great pleasure to invite you to the Aerospace Engineering
Association's annual aviation summit, Zephyr, which has been successfully
conducted for the past 7 years. Zephyr is the only festival of its kind
which provides a platform for students and industry experts to come
together and share ideas with a motive to promote innovation in aviation.

We hope to make Zephyr-11 enjoyable and educational at the same time for
everyone present. The one-day summit on Saturday, 29th January, at 9AM.
Following are the highlights of the festival and we would be greatly
honoured by your presence. Hope to see you all there.

Talk by Mr. Bansidhar Phansalkar on "Emerging trends in Commercial
Aircraft engines" - General Manager, GE Aviation India
11AM, IRCC Auditorium

Bansidhar Phansalkar and his team are focused on high end Engineering
Analytics for Commercial engines. In 2005, Bansi was promoted as the CEO
of India Innovation Center (IIC) in Hyderabad where he drove engineering
excellence & innovations for several New Product Introductions. In 2007,
Bansi was promoted as the General Manager Technology for GE Motors.

SkyMill
Exhibition - All Day - SOM Well

The US/Indian SkyMill team is determined to be among the first to
demonstrate a commercially practical approach to tap the energy of
high-altitude wind. They are actively looking for development partners in
the Mid East, India and China. All areas with excellent high altitude wind
resources.

Flight Simulator
Exhibition - All Day - SOM Well

This flight simulator has been built entirely by students of our
department over a span of 2 years. Using a yoke, throttle, rudder pedals
and multiple screens, it gives the user an extremely realistic feel of the
actual flying environment. It was displayed at our stall in TechConnect
during Techfest this year and was one of the biggest attractions in the
exhibition.

October Sky - Model Rocketry Workshop
9AM - IC 1

The Model Rocketry workshop will teach participants the basics about
rocket propulsion and the design of a rocket engine. Participants, in
teams of 2, will then build their own solid fuel model rocket which after
being checked for stability will be tested and it's performance will be
discussed.

Mach-Infinity - RC Plane Competition
2PM - SAC Grounds

This competition tests the students' skill for building and flying an RC
plane. The competition has two stages; the first stage involving a simple
race where the fastest plane wins and in the second stage participants
will be expected to perform flying maneuvers and carry out the mission
given to them.
