Kindly have a look at the draft of STAB constitution attached.
Some new points suggested which were not discussed previously are not included.

Any feedback is valuable.

I have written the major part of the STAB constitution. Lets have final discussion regarding the same.

Nonetheless, at few points I'm not feeling sure of what should be done
1.Web and publi managers can be 2nd year as well, then why should they be part of Core Group Members while no other 2nd year student is?
2.How much would be weights of the vote of the Web and Publi Manager in the election of Tech OC?
3.What should be impeachment procedure for the Tech OC? (previously, Technic OC n Science Club OC impeachment has to be requested for to the Tech Nom, but we no longer have that post)
4.Club managers as of earlier, can be impeached directly by the SC OC. Should we keep same?
5.Will the Club Coordinators part of the STAB or not?
if yes then we are exceeding number of posts.(38-44 instead of 34 earlier)
if not then we are unnecessarily giving away too many posts(only 14-20 out o 34) and revoking them in the future can be difficult.

Aditya Mehta's suggestions:

1. events manager: will look after set up of competitions (along with the relevant club) and co-ordinate all-club events like ASW, exhibition, etc.
2. gen manager: look after funds, bill reimbursements. can have more responsibilities like
prize and certi distribution, tshirt/sweatshirt. basically science club+technic OC, with a more active role due to competitions. The competition organization will not be the sole responsibility of these managers. They and the relevant club managers should work on this together.
(in fact, we can have 2 gen managers, whose responsibility will be to co-ordinate all-club events, competitions, and funds, instead of 1 events and 1 gen manager)
3. Each hostel tech secy must attend GBM. currently gbms are closed and more like internal meetings. in fact there should be one internal meeting before the GBM to resolve internal issues. GBM will field issues from the general student community also.

Apart from this, the general structure proposed last time seems good. There should be 2 elec, 1 MnP, 1 krittika, 1 aero, 1-2 wncc conveners, 1-2 robotics managers, so total of 7-9 club managers+2 gen managers. Very important to have sophie convener posts (can tell from experience in elec club).

Tech OC is being given too much power.....impeachments should be decision of the team of managers.
4 WNP managers is too high...1 WNP manager and 4-5 sophie conveners seems better
Core Group members can be removed....rather than specifying no of managers in each club we could place a maximum cap on the no of managers(say arnd 15) in STAB. exact nos can be the discretion of the team.

My opinions:

1. Events Managers: Do we need to specify it as such? I remember that SC had an Events manager position sometime back, which died out somehow. If possible, would be better to leave this decision to the OC (whether he would like to have such posts). i.e., keep them core group member positions. Moreover, I find it hard to believe a thirdie would like to take up such a generic role. And unless you get a good thirdie for this post, there is no way you can expect a sophie to go about and single-handedly conceptualize and successfully organize an event like ASW/Exhibition - simply because too many things are involved, and more people than a single person are required in the implementation.

2. General Manager: Again, from the work profile it is evident this is supposed to be a sophie-post. What I see happening here is that all left-over work will fall on him. If we are talking about a separate STAB account, a Treasurer is required, so funds-issues are out of the profile anyway.

Note: If the 2 general managers responsibility is to coordinate all club events, competitions etc, where does the OC come into picture? Any flow of ideas from the OC to clubs would slow down drastically due to this confusing structure, and the efficiency which exists in this regard today would take the brunt.

We should take a call on the STAB Account firstly - is it being implemented? If yes, a Treasurer is required.
