Edinburgh Python user group?

Hi everyone,

Is there a Python user group in Edinburgh (or, failing that,
Scotland?) I had a look on Google and found nothing; but I know that
Edinburgh has at least some Python programmers (and user groups for
all the other major scripting languages), so I suspect this may be my
Google-fu failing me.

The background is that I'm trying to persuade a Pythonista friend to
move to Edinburgh, and the existence of a Python user group would help
with the glowing picture of the Edinburgh tech scene I'm painting :-)

I had looked for one in the past but failed to find anything. It's something I'd certainly be interested in though, so if you find one (or start one) be sure to let us know.

A general python one would make more sense to me (as it would be open to more people) but due to how things are these days I guess most of them would be into django anyway.

I'm personally more interested in the wider python ecosystem although, i do love and use django daily.

and then hopefully find work which uses them!
