May's Edinburgh Techmeetup is this Wednesday (8th May). It's being hosted as usual by Informatics Ventures on the 8th floor of Appleton Tower (Map).

Behind the Cloud – pointers to the future - Anne is an experienced investor, mentor and adviser, with experience in large and small companies, including Cisco Systems and Hewlett Packard. She is going to share her thoughts of where cloud computing is going.

Stephen Kilbane @kilbswhitecrow

Bare metal: how does the code get there - Stephen works for Analog Devices, and he is going to talk about how processors work: what a processor's doing before it ever gets near code in RAM, and what you have to go through, to get it to do that.

There's free wine, beer and soft drinks, and some pizza and other snacks, and plenty of time before, between, and after the talks to catch up on the latest tech news & gossip, As always, the event is free and no sign-up is necessary.
