Anyone make/sell WP themes here?

In my various dealings with Eventasaurus I've come across a pretty influential dude in the events business. He wants to sell one WordPress Theme for Events (think blog, but it's primary purpose is to market an event, or a series of events). He gets a ton of uniques and has proof that there's quite a bit of demand. He wants to do 50/50 with a front-end dev so I'm putting the offer (sort of) out here.

I'm considering doing it myself because it would be a nice side-earner but I'm worried about how much support is involved. One requirement for WP themes, or at least for this theme anyway, is free unlimited support, but it's basic support (e.g. "excuse me developer magician, how do I make the links appear in red and bold?"). Support is done through a forum.

Questions:

1) Does anyone know if this support can be outsourced cheaply somewhere? In which case I'll do it, and pay pennies for the support.

2) Does anyone already do this work and want the lead instead? My reputation with aforementioned dude will be on the line, so I'm not going to just hand this to anyone—need to see some proof you're able for it/already doing it.
