Hello!

We (Aurora Public Schools) just transferred IC to the cloud, so this is our first year using this feature of grade transference. We're coming across several teachers that are getting errors when trying to sync grades from GC to IC. Do any of you have some advice regarding possible solutions? Our CDW partners gave me the following tips, but none of these seem to be fixing the problem.

"Something I would recommend is to dry a different browser or just simply clear your browser and cache. Sometimes browser-specific issues or a corrupted cache can cause problems. There might also be a temporary glitch on Google's end that is preventing the export from completing.

If you're exporting to an SIS, ensure that:

All grades you are trying to export are "returned" (not in "draft" status).
Grading categories in Google Classroom are an exact match (including spelling and capitalization) to the categories in your SIS.
Assignments have due dates within the current grading period of your SIS."

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Here’s what we send our teachers. Any additional resources or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Things to know Google:

  • Rosters must match exactly in IC

  • Assignment must be turned in by student and marked complete

  • Keep assignment names short

  • Return assignments to students prior to exporting grades

  • Google Classroom grades must have a numerical value as IC will round down decimals

  • Ensure that the assignment has correct dates, title, etc as these will populate in IC

Missing assignments in Google Classroom will be a blank in IC.
