I am from Kelaniya - Sinharamulla and receiving HSDPA signals from
Gonawala tower. This speed tests were done on today (07/01/2009) at
around 7.45am. Both tests were repeated and got nearly same values.

Using Colombo server :-

Using New York Server :-

Some weeks ago when I did the test at Borella it was around 1.6Mbps
(downlink) and last week at Galle it was around 1.4Mbps (Using Colombo
server). So I feel this speed deterioration is more likely to be due
to a local bandwidth limitation than the bottle neck effect. Is my
assumption correct?

ඔය ස්පීඩ් ටෙස්ට් එක කරන වෙලාවට වෙන ඩ්වුන්ලෝඩ් එකක් බෑක්ග්‍රවුන්ඩ් එකේ වුනේ නෑ නේද? උදාහරනයකට ටොරන්ට් එකක් වගේ. එතකොටත් ස්පීඩ් ටෙස්ට් ඒකේ නිවෑරදි අගය පෙන්නන්නෙ නෑ.

No. I didn't have any download at that time. This is the usual speed
in this area for about 1 month. Before that it was around 1Mbps.(I am
using 8GB package). Speed further deteriorates at night. I will post
speed test results at that time also.

yeap, there is an issue with mobitel HSDPA in most areas, thats why i
wanted speed tests from around sri lanka since im working with few
mobitel eng to find out the issue.
