lakbima.lk on a Macbook

Hi,

Does anyone know of a methond to read lakbima.lk on a Macbook?

I tried IE for Mac 5.2, but still it's not rendering the characters properly.

well, sad thing is Lakbima is using EOT (Microsoft IE Embedded Font)
system, witch is not supported by any thing other then windows with
ie. Lakbima need to change to a standard system like Sinhala Unicode,
till then your out of luck.

Well, It is possible to make a converter (+ proxy like thing) to read an EOT page and convert it to Unicode. I once tried to do it, but now I know that I can do it. Good thing that you remind me! But then people could use a browser other Than Internet Explorer :( That's what I'm sad about. I love Internet Explorer..

For the time been seems like I might have to run windows in Virtual box.

I was doing a project to read news sites without RSS to generate RSS mechanically. It was somewhat successful. If we combine Legacy to Unicode converter, it could get the news content out of Lakbima in Unicode. I didn't had much time, but I made a php proxy to seperate the Text content from HTML codes. Next step is to make a converter/transliteration.

I think the problem is with the firewall you are(or ur ISP is) using.
Works fine for me.

Friends I agree with you. but I can see all web pages without touching
the firewall other than www.lakbima.lk and I use IE8 too.
Then I don't try to compromise my security.
