Samsung ES15 Digital camera

Hi,

I have a Samsung ES15 Digital camera. can I charge it using USB cable or we have to buy a separate charger ? anyone using Samsung Digital cameras or any idea ?

I check this cam for the net. i think this camera using AA Alkaline batteries. u using batteries, can use rechargeable batteries. but they use built-in battery u can charge using usb cable. please give detail about batteries.

yeah uses AA Alkaline batteries.
but seems like not charge when I plug to PC, I have tried in Google, but couldn't got good answer.
is there any indicator when charging ?

Usually Alkaline batteries are NOT rechargeable. There are special Alkaline batteries which can be recharged and they have word "rechargeable" written on body of the battery. And these batteries are difficult to find.

Also your camera seems not supporting battery charging from USB or the 3.3V DC power connecter. You can use NiMH rechargeable batteries with your camera but they need to be charged  separately from the camera. Samsung recommends to use 2500 mAh NiMH battery. Further if you use Ni-MH battery make sure you set the camera settings correctly (settings->battery type->Ni-MH).

one of my friend gave me 2600mAh AA.HR6/1.2V batteries. is it ok for this ?

Best think is u bought alkaline battery's with charger. then u can charge battery's separately. don`t put the camera via usb, sometime mainboard can burn voltage.
