Community Analytics is a unique organization whose singular aim is to
connect organizations to the relationships impacting their bottom
line. We understand human networks and the roles they play in the
decision making process. We combine science, art and a little bit of
magic to harness the power of these networks for the greater good:
more revenue for clients and more relevance for their customers. We
are looking for a Research Manager to support the Senior Director of
Research and Analytics in completing all project tasks, from project
initiation through analysis and reporting. This includes, but is not
limited to: survey and script development, campaign preparation,
recruitment and training of Research Associates (RAs), running reports
and updates, managing research vendors, data cleansing & coding,
report development, and quality assurance of deliverables.

The ideal candidate is a hard worker who has initiative, is eager to

The Research Manager performs a critical role in the continued success
of Community Analytics.


Major Responsibilities/Activities
• Research management
o Develop survey instruments, including questionnaire, survey scripts,
supporting materials, etc.
o Monitor and report the status of quantitative fieldwork
o Perform quality and logic checks of online survey programming
o Perform research checks on all survey results during fielding
o Perform data analyses, primarily in Microsoft Excel
o Perform quality assurance of all research materials, analyses, and
client deliverables
o Issue weekly research status reports to clients
• Manage Research Associates/Research Vendors
o Train and oversee researchers
 Data collection (project research goals, methodology, etc.)
 Coding of survey responses
 Data cleansing (matching, merging, etc.)
 Ad hoc tasks (coding, merging, etc.)
o Monitor RA and research vendor performance
o Provide daily support/troubleshoot issues
o Manage vendor relationship as primary contact

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Knowledge of principles, methods, strategies and tactics used in the
market research industry
• Solid understanding of data collection, quality, and reporting
• In-depth knowledge and experience in conducting telephone interviews
and/or online surveys
• Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy and quality of work
• Ability to think critically and problem-solve
• Excellent time management, decision-making, and organization skills
• The ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and respond
positively to a dynamic, changing environment

Minimum qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Social Sciences, Psychology or other
related fields
• 1-3 years experience in market research
• Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Access required
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Acute attention to detail and quality
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness and ability to learn and grow
