Hi people, I'm just wondering which number can I get some support for the M365/EntraID issues I'm trying to sort . Contacted MOE ICT Helpdesk and email to Nzschools support but wondering if there is a helpdesk number who can answer in person. Thanks.

I don’t believe there is a number for you to call directly.

For Intune, I usually log a support request and indicate my preference for them to call me (in my experience though, they will always attempt to call you even if you’ve indicated that you prefer email). I don’t believe there is a phone option for Entra (at least none I could find). When I submitted a support request, I only got the email option (then again my issue was a missing automation invoice and not technical).

If you pay for a support plan, they might offer phone support but I never tried it.

Well, the issue that I have is when N4L did our router replacement to Palo Alto, they required us to do the CIE integration on our Google Workspace to sync it to Palo Alto CIE. The certificate existing on our Google Workspace was replaced (removed) with a new one for them for the expiration date will be longer. Unfortunately, that certificate that was removed is tied to our M365 SAML under the Google Workspace, so the SSO is no longer working. I need to access the Entra ID (or Azure) to check the certificate but since I'm using my google account, it's not letting me login although I have a Global Admin permission. Need to check the other Global admin credential as a workaround and replace the certificate if necessary. That is why I need a person to talk to with so the verification will be more smoothly and faster.

Regards,

Arnold

Hi Arnold,
Interesting, we would like to understand the scenario to improve the tenancy certificate handling in our CIE integration process, ideally we should not be replacing (removing) the certificate if its used for other applications.

I will get one of the senior engineers to get in touch with you if that ok?

Heya Adeel

FWIW, the same thing happened during the CIE integration at one of my schools - we lost our library's Wheelers integration because of the Google cert replacement.

Thanks Pete, really appreciate it. I’m on it and will get the configuration steps tweaked accordingly.

Cheers,

Hi Arnold,

I am happy to help with this one... we did the Palo Alto MN3 router swap... just looking through my emails and not sure if I did the actual Google CIE integration.  I certainly know about the certificates and to keep an eye out for Microsoft SAML, Wheelers SAML, Canva SAML, etc.

Assume you created the n4l...@arrowtown.school.nz user account... who did you share this with?

Generally if the certificates are going to expire in the next year it is a good idea to update them to give a life of another 5 years.  At some stage soon you will have had to do the certificate upgrade anyway.

It is also very sensible to have a Global Admin @arrowtownschool.nz.onmicrosoft.com account.  Do you have one of these?

What needs to happen is...
1. Unfederate Microsoft.
2. Download the new GoogleIDPMetadata.xml.
3. Federate again.

I know how to do all this.

Give me a call if you want me to help... Teamviewer would be the best option.

Regards,
Stephen.
