Good Afternoon All,

Just curious as to if anyone is using the Purview Portal for screening of messages between students.
For picking up messages of self-harm, violence, harassment and so forth?
We've not allowed access to Co-Pilot in the school, so screening of Co-Pilot queries is not required.

Alerting certain staff to conversations that students may be having between each other.
Perhaps the counselor if it was appropriate.

Seems like it could be a useful tool, however I believe its a paid for add-on.
The cost of which might make it prohibitively expensive.

I wonder if its something in the future that the ministry would contemplate granting access to.

Thanks,
Dion McGovern-Allen.

Hi Dion,

I do use have Inappropriate Images and Text policies setup that I occasionally check in communication compliance - usually only those with negative impact.

I haven't setup reviewer groups (eg to deans) they currently only come to me but are a little 'hit n miss', lots of false positives, and plenty of conversations you need to see the context.
like "I am going to kill you". There is the alert filtering to do this by scoping users in groups (and/or excluding) and assigning a reviewer + giving them access.

I haven't paid for any of those policies - and set them up some years ago.

Matt
