I have bought several Philips TV's but am unable to set them up. I am getting the message  Philips server not found. I have lodged a case with N4L, but they can't resolve it. I took one of the TV's home and set it up no problem. Is anyone aware of any ports or URL's that need to be open for the innitial connection?

Is the TV connected to WiFi or Ethernet? Have you tried both?

Hi Sean,

N4L should be able to resolve this for you. You may just need to request a senior engineer to look into this. As the TVs work at home there will be something blocking it at school.

Do you have read-only access to your Firewall? If so you could check Log & report and filter the TVs IPs and then check Forward Traffic, AntiVirus, Web Filter and DNS Query.

Are they AndroidTV TVs?
over the last holidays in our hostel, which goes via the schools N4L connection and had no trouble.

Interesting that they say Philips server not found...

N4L escalated the case for me and an engineer contacted me. It was the deep inspection causing the issue, so through the LAN, they are now perfect. Also, I upgraded the AP's to the R650's this year which don't support 802.11n. Sadly I'll need to run some cables.
