network not available on setup new chromebook

setting up new chromebooks first 15 yesterday fine
today's new ones not so good ( 2 so far)
select wifi connects but i get "Network not available"
retry after "forget" of network with wrong passwords it says worng password 
retry correct password accepts it but wont go to next screen  "Network not available"
but i can log on as guest and the interent works fine
chrome OS says it is up to date 91.0.4472.81
on acer N18Q5

tried usb wired connection same thing

Yep I had heaps of issues (1 out of 6 identical models), ended up downloading the OS and creating  a USB stick to boot/install form, then no issues after that.

Yep I've had similar troubles before too. Sounds like it's failing to get update information (V102 is out for those devices now), so my money's on the clocks. Things that have worked for me:

- manually set the clock if it's out by more than about 5 minutes

- leave it alone, powered on at the login screen for some hours

- power wash

- USB re-flash

I had this the other day with 80 Lenovo Chromebooks.
USB reset didn't work and had to use the CTRL+ALT+T AUTEST command to get them up and running. Very annoying.
