Issues with Android devices and Kamar

Hi All

Recently we have struck a problem where Android devices are not able to login using the Kamar app, they can browse to the portal server OK it's just the app fails to connect.

There is no problem with iOS devices. Portal is hosted on an Ubuntu 22.04 server running apache. Everything was working fine at the end of last term.

Apache access logs show anything? A 404 or something like that?

All working fine for ours - Kamar Android app 2.5.010, portal running on Debian GNU/Linux 9.13 (stretch).

What error does it throw ? Assuming you can web browse to it on the device (ie DNS is working properly).

My server is windows, and phone is Android. Seems OK.

Thanks for the replies, yes you can browse to the portal from an android device if you use a browser, its simply just the app itself that doesn't work. When you enter the server address into the app it won't accept it. 

As I said previously this was working, nothing has changed on the server. I spoke to Kamar support and they informed there is compatibility issues with the app and the latest version of android OS.

Just checked the app on my phone and it's connecting/logging in fine.

App version 2.5.010

Oddly looks like app is removed from playstore as I can't find it.

Worked it our thanks, there was a config issue with the web server in regard to the SSL cert that only affected Android devices which was odd.
