Good morning, all.

We're noticed in the last week or so that in the morning (roughly 0840 - 0915) accessing websites outside of our network feels very sluggish.  For example, opening a Google Form takes 30sec on an ethernet connected device.  Once the "hump" passes everything seems to return to normal.

Is this just us, or are any of you experiencing this?

Regards,
D.

It seems sluggish this morning as well accessing Google Drive but no known issues with google. Any thoughts?
Kind regards,

We had the same where Google drive was really slow to load in the last few days. We mainly use google so wouldn't have noticed any Microsoft cloud issues if there was.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the quic protocol being blocked by N4L.

I am guessing first thing in the morning when everyone logs in N4L gets a massive hit and this could impact schools especially bigger ones.

We are upgrading to a 2Gb connection in over the break, it will be interesting how that impacts and hopefully fixes some of the slightly sluggish behaviour of some cloud stuff.

We are on a 2Gb connection and also experienced this issue yesterday.

This morning seems better.

I can't say I'd specifically noted the decrease, but I'm doing a bunch of remote-admin jobs this morning and I've never had things go so fast! Software update downloads are consistently running at around 55MBytes/sec and I just pushed a library backup from school up to my home fibre connection at 70MB/sec!

We _never_ see speeds like that during school term, so it's a great start to the holidays :)
