Hi All,

Just in the last week or so our mac users have a messed up OneDrive sync. On these devices they all say they are signed into two versions, through no intervention of their own.
I can see an app called OneDrive in the Applications folder, and another in a folder called OneDrive with the App within it.

Users in their ~/Library/CloudStorage/ see a School and a School(2) folder with everything now syncing to the (2) folder.
(And even more of a mess for us, we changed school/tenant name some years ago so there is a third folder as well)

If I remove all the apps, rm -rf all the OneDrive folders, and start with only the OneDrive app from the office installation they reappear.

Do I need to unlink the Mac first within the app before removing, remove the app, clear the storage and restart and start again?

I think, in this case what seems to work is unlink the mac in the Onedrive App, Uninstall the App, Move/Delete the folders in  ~/Library/CloudStorage/ (assuming these are in sync, backed up) and reboot.
Reinstall the app and sign in.
When I did the OneDrive app wanted permission to sync to the old location but I couldn't select it (or any location) as the finder window was blank. Clicked cancel, closed the app, re-opened and it didn't ask again and appeared to have permissions for that folder. No idea what's up there.
I've had a few devices do this, unsure why. Fingers crossed this resets the OneDrive state.
