[This is mostly of interest to schools using Microsoft 365.]

If you have students with BYOD laptops running Windows 10 or 11 Home edition,
and you want to offer some software/service that requires Windows Pro/Education edition,
then you can set up an Azure Dev Tools for Teaching (ADT4T) plan - which allows students to obtain software/keys for a range of Microsoft products, including Windows 10/11 Education.

An example of why you might want to do this is to utilise the (Intune) Company Portal as a platform to let students self-install assorted software on their device.

Previously, students could get such Windows Education upgrade keys through Kivuto OnTheHub, but that arrangement has ended.

This page covers the sign-up process for ADT4T:
See also the "Related content" steps for "Manage student access" and "Download software" at the bottom of that page.

It's free (assuming you have an academic Microsoft Volume Licensing agreement through the MoE).

NB: Regarding licences available in the Microsoft 365 Admin center:
Some user licences include Windows 10/11 features. Examples include:
* Windows 10/11 Enterprise A3 for students
* Microsoft 365 A5 for students use benefit
These Windows 10/11 benefits are intended for (and only legal to use on) school-owned PCs - not BYOD.
(This is different to other software e.g. Office or Minecraft, where the licence covers BYOD installation.)
