Or should I say I am unaware of this issue occurring but I will be on the lookout for it

All I know is the latest Sequoia Update has played havoc with our staff's Apple Mail app connection to our schools mail hosted by google ie not downloading mail at school but it does download at home :-)
Two many variables in this and it usually hits those staff whose inbox is he ie 15,000 plus emails

So I have a MacBook Pro with a weird DNS issue.
Intermittently it can't resolve server IPs, mostly around our Kamar and
Print servers as these are the only two local servers that are used.
The user may be able to connect to the kamar server but not the print
server or vice versa.
A ping test confirms this, can ping one server via its name, not the other.
Restarts occasionally resolve this for a time.
Have done a flush of the DNS cache. The whole thigh doesnt make any sense,
if one server can be resolved, why not the other and then why does it go
the other way or sometimes both.
Ideally i don't want to have to set static entries in the hosts file, but
it's looking that way to get this resolved.
Thoughts?

A thought:
Are you sure it's DNS? (I know I know, it's always DNS :). What happens if
you ping each server by IP address? Is the IP-level connectivity gone too?
The reason I ask is because I've now witnessed a scenario at two schools
that mimics what you're describing (intermittent network access from macOS
hosts to a subset of other hosts on the same LAN, but not all), but in my
scenario you can't even ping the host via IP (meaning it's not necessarily
DNS, unless one of them happens to be your DNS server :).
I had put it on the backburner by solving the problems at hand in other
ways (ie working around the limitation), but I'd be keen to explore it
further if someone else is experiencing the same problem and willing to get
involved. Both of the ones I've seen were in ER & SA-migrated schools
(which makes my spidey-senses tingle...)

Morning all
Just a quick one on this and any general Apple device networking issues, please have a look at an application that we (Apple) have created called ‘Mac Evaluation Utility’ - it runs heaps of reports on a Mac (ideally connected to your troublesome network) that allows you to get a view of what your device can and can’t talk to. It’s one of the most useful apps for Mac in an IT person’s arsenal.
To access the app, goto:
Sign in with your Apple School Manager / Apple Business Manager credentials, then click on ‘Resources’ and scroll down to ‘Mac Evaluation Utility’ to download.
Once you’ve installed the app, run a report and export it as a PDF - that gives you a ‘human readable’ document that is absolute gold for troubleshooting network issues, understanding the management state, security posture and heaps more useful information.
I’m not promising that it will pinpoint the issues you may be having but it could help.

Apologies - I should have mentioned that you’ll need to log into Apple Business Manager or Apple School Manager as an administrator to have access to these resources.
One added bonus is also going to be that you’ll also have access to the new beta versions that we released this morning - it goes without saying not to install betas onto your primary devices.
