About Phishing : It is a method use to hack the email id and passwords. Phishing is very popular around social networking websites. Hackers create fake login pages and when you log on and enter your credentials to the fake login page, the details are added to the database. This method is very popular on Internet to hack the email id and password. But if some one reports the site, you loose it, that means the registry will take away the domain name from you.

Internet Explorer has a tool to detect and inform the user. As you know the controversies of Internet Explorer it is not much popular around computer users. Phishing are done for the purpose of getting private and secured information, mostly they look for credit card numbers, personal information that they would sell to the companies and all other important secrets.

Most of the people on Internet surf blindly, they are taken where they want but they don't verify the source. One can be easily mislead to enter his/her personal information. So this would pose a great threat for you.

Phising can be avoided easily by the following methods which i have described.
1. When you are ask to enter the user id and password of certain website account located on another, you should verify the source and then enter.
2. If someone is forcing to follow up the links that go straight to Porn or Sexual content website then avoid that, they would ask to enter the personal and financial information. People with lots of money don't bother and next day when they wake up they see their bank account empty.
3. Don't run any scripts, such can pose a vulnerable threat to your machine and your browser.
4. If you are asked to enter some code in your browser then don't do it, because such code has a mechanism to extract the information specifically stored user id and password and then forward this data to the hacker server.
5. While downloading adult content be sure you don't run any executables located within it. Because besides tracking your machine it can lead to install a root-kit and take over your machine.
6. Secure you most important and secret information in the file and then compress it, because there are some program on Internet which when installed on remote machines, scan text (.txt) files for the personal and financial information and pass the data to the remote machine.
7. Install full-version Anti-Virus and Firewall to block away illegal connection being established to your computer.
8. If you are a parent then install some child-protection software, such that your bee cannot access the illegal and adult content and be safe from installing a virus to your machine without his notice.
9. Reset your password once every one month, that is the best that you can secure yourself on Internet.
