Arre if you want the app to look like that you need to define all the fields and relative alignment and layout etc. If i do it arbitrarily you can only enter the data but it will look like shit.

you haven't specified how the hospitals would know of the TGOB servers and how to update them?

@Shush - Acha pehle basic bana de then usko design ke hisaab se modify kar denge

@Arpit - Blood banks have secure, licensed access to TGOB's update system via a web interface.

Game of Blood sounds very insensitive. It's a serious thing after all.

@Mrinal: If bleedred makes you think of crying teen slitting wrist and game of blood makes you think of blood donation.

We'll need a web server of some sort to store user data - pointless without it.

@Mrina - Make it. I'll need to learn SQL too -.-

Any ideas?

^Please read above mail too

Things to be decided too:

1. Will we look for the current location of the user or the stored address? Latter might be easier but it does not make much sense in today's global world. In that case we will need to periodically update the location of any user to the server.

2. How much of all this do we show for the event?

1. Arre for cloud database, use Google App Engine na, it interfaces directly with the Java code.

2. Periodic GPS updating seems best, with frequency changeable in settings

3. As much as we can build :P

Yea, Use GAE. It works best plus customized domain is also possible.

So this is what's going to happen. Since I don't know jackshit about Google App Engine yet, both of you can do that whole part. I will make the panels and the app-specific part (including location stuff) and how they interact with each other and send the project to you. You integrate the App Engine/database part to it.

Since I won't be doing anything for the last 10 days of December (brother is back), it only makes sense that you guys need to. Talk to Yash and decide what to do and how to go about it.

Whenever a user registers, his/her personal info goes to the central online DB. The location of the user is also periodically updated to the DB.

Now when a signed in person makes a request, nearby users of the app are located and their info searched in the DB and then they can access them for requests etc.
