We have an immediate opening for a talented engineer to work on our Appcelerator Studio team designing and building developer-focused applications created to make coding on the Titanium platform as simple and enjoyable as possible. Ideal candidates not only have experience as a software engineer writing code, but also have been involved in leading the architecture, design and implementation of best-of-class tools targeting the developer market.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Define, design and implement exciting new product features in Appceleartor Studio
Work closely with platform and cloud teams to expose new functionality to developers
Review code and write unit tests
REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of 3+ years of strong design and development experience on the Eclipse platform, with 5+ years experience coding Java.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent knowledge of both the theory and practice of software engineering.
A quick learner and a great team player with can-do attitude
Demonstrated skills in writing architecture documents, user stories, and test cases--not just coding
Experience taking a lead role on a project or product--from helping with initial definition through shipping it to customers
Ability to work independently, with tough deadlines and challenging problems
Passionate about enabling people to build great mobile applications
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Git and Github experience
Titanium and/or JavaScript experience
Experience coding for mobile operating systems
Experience building debuggers, parsers, editors and other technologies specific to IDEs
Have worked on open source projects, preferably your own
Have previously worked for a startup
