Keeping up with the latest Healthcare IT news

I check out Healthcare IT (http://www.healthcareitnews.com/) news
pretty regularly for updates on our industry, and the other day they
had an article about a PHR provider offering patients access to their
medical records on their mobile phones. Mobile technology is becoming
so huge thanks to the iPhone and PDA phones like the Blackberry, but
are doctors becoming too reliant on technology to help them do their
jobs?

I use to work for a medical center in Vero Beach Florida and I know
one of the doctors there was working on an internet version for
patients to access their medical records. I believe it was called "My
Medical Records". There was quite a bit of interest in the product.
Both from the patients and the doctors. You can see some information

There is a company in California called my medical records. Pretty simplistic solution relyin heavily on fax service. They are profiled in the report I mentioned earlier.

This one is really just a physician/provider focus for now, but Availity's CareProfile product has been getting excellent reviews from the users I've spoken with in Florida & Texas.
