Update from 6pm EST phone conf among Proj Mgrs last nite (1/26/09)

Here are some status updates of what's going at the crisiscommons as
they relate to TechAid:

1. Two folks in the West Coast are working on the sugarcrm for the
volunteer talent side: Tim (CO?) and Chad (LA)
2. Liza in NYC is working on integrating the sugarcrm with drupal
website. She was not available for the call.
3. sugarcrm has a good outreach component built in.
4. A group in Toronto is working on a project ticketing system via
TRAC (sp?)
5. Agreed that a front-facing/NGO-side intake process is essential to
crisiscommons. Emphasis is more on process vs. technology platform.
6. Etherpad.com rocks as a remote collaboration tool!

Needs:
1. From all project managers: Gather project statuses and post
statuses to the public that identify what they need (resources) and
gaps
2.. Need a Digg type system of thumbs up/down to push a project up or
pass on it.

To Do's:
1. I have created a google form to send out to all crisiscamp PMs in
all cities to update the status of their current projects. Will have
the final version ready for distribution by Noon today (Jan 27th).
2. The 10pm conf call, which I did not attend, added some great NGO
intake questions which I shall add to the wufoo form. I'll work on
that after 8pm tonight.
