Luisa Martín Rojo is Professor of Linguistics at the Universidad Autónoma (Madrid, Spain). Her research has focused on the discursive construction of inequalities affecting immigrants, especially in the media. Her current work focuses on how inequality is constructed, naturalized and legitimized through discourse in schools in Madrid. Her work has earned her the title of Spanish national expert from the European Observatory against Racism and Xenophobia in the European Union. Her latest book is titled Constructing Inequality in Multilingual Classrooms.
